Fundraising campaign

Dear All,

We have started a fundraising campaign of used/new items for Africa and want to ask for your help.

Joy's family lives in a small (poor) village in Isiala-Mbano LGA in Imo State, Nigeria. Although Nigeria is rich in crude oil, the difference between rich and poor is very big. In poor areas, there is a great need for all kinds of items. For example electricity, food, water, clothing, e.g. shoes, jackets, bedding, toys, kitchenware, etc.

This is what we are trying to achieve:

We have found a reliable party who can arrange a shipment to Nigeria, to Joy's village, for us. The plan is to ship the collected items directly to Joy's mother. There she will personally make sure that every item gets to a good destination. In this way, we can make a lot of people happy and we know for sure that all the items will be given a second life.

This idea was born because we realized that here in the Netherlands we live in a disposable society. We regularly throw away clothes and/or items that we just do not use or do not like anymore. This is a shame if this ends up in the garbage while the items are still good and you can make someone very happy with it.

Our question to you is therefore the following:

Do you have items that you don't use anymore, or do you have items that you want to get rid of? And are these things still good to use and do you like the idea of making someone happy with it? ..... yes? Fantastic!

We would like to ask you to bring these items to us, then we will make sure that they will be well received and that they will be used where they are really needed.

Finally, sending these items to Nigeria, unfortunately, costs a lot of money. We are willing to take on all the costs. But if you would like to make a small donation in addition to the items you deliver, this is of course always welcome.

On behalf of us, but also on behalf of the people of Ukulu village in Imo State, thank you very much!
